i need to know what type of gang or the name of the gang that this tattoo belongs to. it is a cross with a dot in each of the outside squares. if you can understand or picture what i am describing. thank you very much.

It is an ancient symbol - over the years others take and adapt it to their own thing - even the nazis did so with the swastika which is very similar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika), but the cross comes from ancient Egyptian legends with the horizontal line as feminine, the vertical line as masculine, together representing their union and the key to the universe.
The four dots are the elements of life - water, earth, fire, air.

Go to the nearest Tattoo Parlor and describe the picture. If they have done any of these then perhaps they can tell you "who" or "what kind of people" have had that tattoo done on themselves.
Just curious. Why you ask? Are you in a rival gang maybe?

It's an Ambigram. Just to warn you(r friend), I know a guy who has an ambigram tattoo that says "Family/Forever". You can't tell it says anything.

my hubby has one, & it means the he is a hustler on every corner..he didnt know that when he got it..its on his hand..
I think i picture it..maybe not..
it looks like a 4-way with a dot in each corner?
