I assume by short term, you mean the effect on the person who has committed suicide. The effect is severe and obvious. By long term effects, I assume you mean relatives and friends. Aside from the long-term grieving it is important to note that the suicide could have a copy-cat effect on others, and that this is not limited to just friends and relatives, but anyone who read about the suicide.

I can't think of any short term affects on teen suicide/ nothing short term about suicide------it's long term

Well, the logical answer is death. If the teen already commited suicide, the effect would be that they would be dead.
