It should be rather stable for more than ten years. If unopened, your only real mistake might be exposing it to direct sunlight, which over an extended period might first change its color and then affect the flavor.

Not if the bottle remains unopened. Gotta remember, alcohol has been used as a food preservative for thousands of years. That's why fruitcakes last a Loooong time.

If rum has been stored in a sealed bottle in a cool environment, it should be good for centuries.

The short answer no! Though it can become contaminated if stored in improper containers, or exposed to extreme heat.

No it may evaporate a little but should be just fine or even better than when you purchased it.

no it can not go bad the alchool will prevent anything from growing in it
