Kit kats are milk chocolate usually, Milk chocolate: 1 ounce per pound of body weight. Approximately one pound of milk chocolate is poisonous to a 20-pound dog; one-half pound for a 10-pound dog. The average chocolate bar contains 2 to 3 ounces of milk chocolate. It would take 2-3 candy bars to poison a 10 pound dog.
Chocolate contains theobromine. A naturally occurring stimulant found in the cocoa bean, theobromine increases urination and affects the central nervous system as well as heart muscle. While amounts vary by type of chocolate, it's the theobromine that is poisonous to dogs.
Symptoms of Chocolate Dog Ingestion and Poisoning are seen within the first few hours, the evidence includes vomiting, diarrhea or hyperactivity. As time passes and there's increased absorption of the toxic substance, you'll see an increase in the dog's heart rate, which can cause arrhythmia, restlessness, hyperactivity, muscle twitching, increased urination or excessive panting.
This can lead to hyperthermia, muscle tremors, seizures, coma and even death.
SOOOOO.....It depends on the weight of your dog.

He might become hyper or get diarrhea, but Kit Kats are barely real chocolate. Most likely he will be fine, but if you are really concerned and he acts strangely, take him to the vet. Try to remain calm, because any anxious energy you project, he picks up on.

How much does he weigh? Most likely it is not a toxic amount, since a kit kat is not all chocolate. AND it is milk chocolate.

It depends on the amount that he ate cause they do say that chocolate is poison to a dog but i give my dog chocolate sometimes and it doesn't hurt him but like try to give him alot of water and call a vet probably and they will help you with the rest.

little dogs are the most affected by chocolate. call the vet, and ask her/his opinion. your dog will probably vomit some, but DO NOT PANIC. Be calm, and watch your dog carefully. If anything seems odd or wrong with his behavior, then call the vet. good luck, and i hope this helps!

He's fine. Dogs don't die from small amounts of chocolate. That is simply a rumor that seems to circulate way too much.

Coming from a dog who ate a bowl of Hershey Kisses...nothing. We called poison control and they told us to watch her, but said she will be OK. She was aboout 50 pounds at the time. They told us that it is baker's chocolate that could be really deadly.
If you want try calling poison control or a 24x7 vet....they are usually free for a consolt over the phone.
BTW - My dog drank motor oil too and was ok. We called poison control on that one too. Stupid Lab.

He might get the runs. I don't think anything much will happen though. I once had a cat who found an old Toblerone chocolate bar in my closet and licked it all until almost nothing was left. The cat lived to be a ripe old age!

Calm down. My dog ate chocolate too and I freaked out but then I went to this website and they said that he'll be fine. Make sure you read it. If he ate more than ok, take him to the vet fast.

Dogs are usually only allergic to pure cocoa.
I'm sure he'll be fine.
My friend's dog once got into a double chocolate fudge cake, and half, but it wasn't pure cocoa.
