My name is Carrie, I have had 2 miscarriages, my first one I was 21 weeks, my second I was 10 weeks along, they were 3 years apart. I have been so so afraid to try again, even though the doctors call it a fluke, I have been tested and they say they do not see any reason I couldn't have a healthy child. I am so afraid that I'll be to scared to try again.

According to the American Pregnancy Assoc., a prior miscarriage only slightly raises your chances of having another miscarriage. So if there is no reason the docs identified, you just had some very bad luck, and now you're due for some good luck.

I have a sister in law that had 2 early miscarriages - -and like you the docs said her miscarriages were just a fluke- -then she had a baby who was a full term, very healthy child, now 2 yrs old, and she is again pregnant now- -7 months and all going well. :)

I even have a friend who had SIX miscarriages before finally having her son. I hesitated to write that about how many, and I DO NOT mean that would be your experience - -your doctors say you are fine, while she was told she was at risk but she was just so determined she kept trying (and also religious Catholic and did not use birth control). I only just mean to say it's an example that even that woman's body was able to have a baby finally when they controlled for all the risks as much as possible. The kid is in school now and doing great, he's like a little science genius.

I'm so sorry about the babies you lost. Good luck, it is worth it to try again if you want to.

Firstly 'Mr Awesome' is a some distance from exquisite and probably must difference his title to 'Mr A**gap'. I'm sorry you misplaced your toddlers - I have had a ignored miscarriage with my first being pregnant (same twins - no center beat at 12 weeks) and I was once most likely gutted. I am 37 in a few months and am very fortunate to now have a healthful three month historical daughter. Because of the a while of your different kids I am guessing you're over 30, like myself and I realize that once 35 the probabilities of 'being pregnant disorders' are much more likely. After the losses you and your associate have suffered, you're particularly courageous to hold on making an attempt and you're being professional-lively and liable in consulting with a genetic expert due to the fact that, by means of making use of genetic checking out your losses can probably be defined and the chance of long term losses may also be assessed. Good good fortune, I desire you obtain a healthful, triumphant being pregnant and little one!

I have a friend Jennifer N. she has a healthy 7 year old girl after having 2 miscarriages. Never give up unless advised by your Dr. and then get a second opinion.

My brother and his wife did. The twins are now 6 years old.

If you want a baby keep trying. And pray, just out loud. Assure yourself that it will be okay and have your friends and family around you.

Good luck and Merry Christmas.

I've had several friends who were finally successful. Hey, you didn't give up on loving a man after your first couple of boyfriends, did you?
