The next airport closest to Queens would be New Yorks (LaGuardia Airport.) Newark Liberty International Airport is across the Hudson River in New Jersey and southwest from New York City. It is reachable by train from New York Penn Station directly to the airport which is convenient or bus from the Port Authority Bus Station. One can also take a helecopter transport from midtown Manhatten, however, it is much more expensive.

Depends if you're driving or taking public transportation. If driving w/o traffic you can get to newark airport in about 35mins but most of time there's traffic so expect 1hr or so. there's LAG (La Guardia airport) in Queens. It's not the best airport to fly in toor out of and it's a local airport so no international flights. I suggest to fly from/to JFK as long as there's a flight for you.

I agree with the poster who says it depends on the time of day. At 7 am on a Sunday morning, I have made that trip in about 30-40 minutes. Around rush hour, or on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon - good luck!
