answer d gives a reversal of phase, but ac power, centered around zero, does not have a polarity.

I'd go with D unless I'm at th north pole, in which case C must be the right answer.

A is wrong because there is nothing wrong with the wiring.

B is wrong because ground and neutral are both return-current carriers. Their order is immaterial for polarity. Though you might end up with a "floating ground" because of it.

C is only regionally correct.

D is the logical choice.
