I am a Christian, and of course I am offended when people say that my religion is fake, but how come it doesn't seem that people are as skeptical about other religions?

What are you on about? Islam gets loads of stick.
I'm skeptical about all religions. Does that make you happier?

I've never heard anyone say that the Christian religion is fake, and I live on a very liberal university campus. I also haven't met many people who accept Satanism as a valid religion. Many people are skeptical about religions, but it is their personal belief and they're entitled to that. Of course, you're also entitled to your Christian beliefs. A lot of people only accept their religion as the "true" religion, and I guess that's their right. I personally am not religious, or spiritual, but I think that everyone should be able to believe in whatever deity(s) or spirit(s) that they so choose, as long as it doesn't harm anyone else.

It's not that people (I assume you mean atheists/agnostics) aren't skeptical, but rather that they may not know quite as much about those belief systems as they do Christianity, so they don't discuss it as much. Also, when you don't run into believers of those faiths as often as you do Christians in the Western world, the subject usually doesn't get brought up. I don't go around yelling that I don't believe in Islam or Christianity, but if asked, I will answer the question of what my beliefs are. It just so happens that 99 times out of 100 in the USA, it's a Christian asking me if I believe in Jesus. But I answer the same way if a Muslim asks me if I believe Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.

You will never here any anti-theist say that any religion is real as we personally feel that they are all invented and don't care what you personally believe as long as YOU DO NO HARM IN THE NAME OF YOUR GOD TO OTHERS !! Can I make it any clearer ? As for Christians they claim that theirs is the only true religion and the others are all false so why should others be any different ? You amaze me that you can't see the simplest concepts and call yourself educated all you have to do in this world is believe your own way and respect the beliefs of others .

Doesn't it strike you as odd that a " evil satanist " would show more Christian compassion , understanding and acceptance than a so call " god fearing christian ?

FYI Islam and Muslim are the same thing, it's like Christianity and Christian. One describes the religion and the other describes a person who practices the religion.

As a Christian I wonder that myself. I accept other religions and hope that those people accept my beliefs too. No need to fight over religion, is stupid. But it seems people just love bashing Christianity, I guess it's due to the actions of many evangelicals which have given Christianity a bad name.

Many people are skeptical of religions which try to manipulate morality and promise punishments. Christianity gets much criticism in the west (especially the US) because it is so powerful.

Which "people" are you refering to, and what do you mean by "accept"? You are making a very generalized accusation without providing any evidence or examples, and just playing the "poor pitiful me" card.

As an atheist, I think that all the religions you mentioned, including Christianity, are equally silly. (by the way, Muslim and Islam are the same thing) I'm not sure what you mean by "fake" either. All religions are real, it's just that they aren't based on any beliefs that are factual. Yours too.

I think society awards people for being spiritual, and individualistic. Being a Christian is a religion of equality. The rules are the same for everyone.
Following other religions make an person seem exotic and/or unique.
It's ironic how Jesus was considered a radical in his time, and now, those who follow Jesus are the boring ones...

Sounds to me like most of the people you encounter are on Yahoo answers.

It shows whay Satanism is really just a personality cult cenetered around Anton LaVey, and why Islam doesn't have the same god as Christianity.
