it's model #78960-100

i'm confused. most clippers have blades numbered... this one doesn't have a number on it of what length it cuts...and also the comb like attachments don't have #5, #3, etc on them but rather lengths.. like 1/2" etc. how can i find out how they compare to the numbered ones

It seems the from the other answers the blade is about a #10 as for the combs, lets see if this helps

1/8" is like a #7 blade
1/4" is like a #5 blade
3/8" is like a #4 blade
1/2" is like a #3 blade

I don't use many snap on combs, so I don't know their numbers, or letters

It's a #10 blade. Go to Oster or Andis homepage, you can usually find a list of comb attachments and their numbers and lengths. Home grooming kits usually aren't very high quality, it's better to invest in real clippers and blades. Also, using combs over a 10 isn't very useful, you're supposed to use it over a 40.

That thing sucks. It does not cut dog hair very well at all and keeps clogging. The blade does NOT come off like the ones do on the good Oster Clippers.
The blade itself I think is like a #15. It cuts closer than a #10, but it is not like a #40 surgical blade.
I would not waste my money.

The blade is a #10 but a really really cheap one hope it will cut your dogs hair.
As far as the combs it tells you hte lenghth it willleave teh dogs hair if it doesn't get caught in the slightest knot and break or fall off.
This are realy cheap clippers and usually won't last more than 2 gromings.
