I don't think they hate God. They may hate the hypocrites or the politics of religion but not God.
Your search for God and your beleif in God is a personal Journey. No one knows for sure. If you do believe that there is a higher power then it will be revealed to you through your own search. Athiest, Baptist, Catholic, Buddist, Morman, Pagan, Wicka......There are so many religions . Everyone has their own beleif. If some choose not to beleive in anything that is also their "religion"

The questions that you are asking are valid, but in the end your journey is your own. No one will be able to answer the questions in your heart. You have to find your own answers

As for me , "Love" is the only true God

I'm glad that you have god and that you have found comfort and joy in the religion.

Others didn't, is all. Atheists ask that proof be shown to them of the existence of ANY god and/or goddess. Pagans, Wiccans, witches, heathens - many of us never felt that Christianity was there for us from a very young age and went and found deities that were looking for us and accepted us.

May you continue to be blessed on your path.

I don't hate god because I don't know if there is one, and I don't think it's possible to know.

What atheists and agnostics hate are what mad people do in the name of their god and the vicious acts perpetrated in the name of faith. And even the most devout Christian has to admit--at least if he is honest with himself--there are some crazy people doing and saying some sick stuff in the name of their Jesus.

You can't hate something that you don't believe in. Isn't it our belief in something that causes such strong feelings in the first place? I think, and this is totally based on my opinion only, that people who say they hate God and then strongly state their disbelief, are really stating their confusion with their faith, only not so articulately.

They probably don't mean that the 'hate god', what they probably mean is that the belief in god causes has caused a great deal of pain and suffering in the world (e.g. wars, religiously based genocide, etc.)

They don't hate god. They are unhappy with some of the things that belief in god results in.

We just find your beliefs odd. You say your god is all loving and then the Bible says he does all kinds of horrible things. We are questioning YOUR beliefs, not ours.

I assume it's a hatred of the actions of the followers of a faith.

I don't hate God. As you say, he doesn't exist.

What I hate is the structure and doctrine that has grown around the meme that he does exist. And the people who continue to propagate it.
