Depending on how old she is, it's normal - a baby's head does not fully develop until well after 12 months of age...until then, the plates are still moving and forming her skull (ie: the soft spot...) Both of mine had odd shapes and dents in their heads and are fine now!

Did you just notice it? Has it been there since birth?
WHo else is looking after the child? There can be many causes, but trauma will cause some discoloration as well.
If it has been there for a while, it might be the "forcep syndrome"When she was being born they had to use the birth forceps to gently assist her out of the birth canal.

Its normal for infants to have "dents" (they are called soft spots) in their head because their skull has not completely grown together yet.

Did you ask your doctor I would not ask a bunch of people on ask.com. Take the baby to a doctor

It might be a soft spot but I would take him/her to the doctor to be sure.
