I'd say go to Google and find the phone number for the Butterball turkey hotline. They have people who will really know how long turkeys take to thaw.

Of course, if you'd rather, you can also go to Google and type "how to thaw a turkey" and see what you find. Don't always believe your spell-checker: it's correctly spelled "thaw." If your spell-checker doesn't like that word, use "defrost."

The best way to thaw a turkey is in the refrigerator. But, you can thaw a turkey in a sink full of cold water-make sure the water is all cold-turn the turkey over every hour so it thaws evenly and be sure to change the water every hour. I've done this before and it worked fine. Oh, and leave the turkey in the wrapper too.

It's not gonna be totally thawed by Tuesday. You can leave it out in the sink for a few hours to start the process quicker. Then stick if back in the fridge.

usually 3 days...it could work. When you go to cook it and remove the giblets from inside, if you find it's still icy inside then soak it unwrapped in a sink or tub or cold water for an hour or so.
