Hey welcome back smokinuracing... Dale Jr and #88 will be bound for alot of wins, he is at HMS the best in the business, No he will not fail...He might not win the championship his first yr, but he will win races, make the chase, and I'm sure he will win a championship or two.. Hendrick Motorsports is the best organization out there in Nascar, best equipment, best owner, technicians, engineers, pit crews, crew chief, mechanics with all that behind you....Nope, I do not see failure at all.. All the Dale Jr doubters will see next yr..

Jr. running with Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon will definitely make the chase next season. Hendrick builds winning teams, and DEI didn't put all the effort they could have in Dale's car.
Tony Eury Jr. is Jr.'s cousin so they know each other and they started getting Jr's. car to click. Then there were the engine malfunctions which cost Jr. to be a viable contender for the chase.

That's a big spread, championship or failure. I was thinking something in between like he will win some races and make the chase. After that he has as good a chance as anyone.

Yeah I think Dale Jr will win a championship, but not right away-Maybe a couple years down the road..now that he has traded his Budweiser for Mountain Dew-
You gotta be 100% to compete at the sprint cup level.
I just hope he is//////////////

If he could drive better it would be a Championship but he's no chip of the ole block like Sr. Hendrick will give him everything he needs to win. We'll see his real talent next year and if he is truly Championship material he will come through, but it isn't going to happen.

Only time will tell. I say we all put this to rest 'till we see what is to be. But Jr's past record says it won't make a difference.
In racing, it's either you have it or you don't and with a sprinkle of wins here and there does NOT make you a champion.

I think he will make the Chase and win 2 or 3 races in 2008. Mears and Bush won races last year so Jr. should be able to. If he doesnt...................!!!!!

He will fail because he will be the third string and he brought the same old crew chief and his focus is on building his own racing organization. Yes I believe he is headed for failure.

sounds like your jumping to conclusions already when the season hasn't started yet.personally.i think jr is bound for greatest he is where he should be with hendrick mr hendrick will make sure he has excellent equipment to win.
