How do i make him express himself with me?

it takes a lot of patience and understanding.. i think the main thing is not to make it seem like you're accusing him or insulting/offending him b/c that usually makes them be even more reserved and less talkative. and try to be encouraging and stay positive. maybe when he does open up with you about even the slightest things, tell him how grateful you are that he opened up and how you love hearing what he has to say.

You can not make anyone express themselves. If you do enough browbeating, you can make them leave.
