Who cares? It's none of their business! That's not why the security guards are there! The guards are there for security and safety, not to prevent people from walking around the mall.

If you're in the mall to walk, you're not a security or a safety concern, and the guards should leave you alone, unless the mall has a posted policy against exercise walking in the mall. Adopting such a policy would not be good business, since those who walk around there often see things they buy or come back to buy later.

If any of the security guards hassle you in any way for walking around in the mall, go immediately either to the chief security officer or to the mall management office and file a complaint against the security officer who hassled you.

If your taking a brisk walk around the mall with a suspicious look on your face, or if you have items falling out from under your clothes then yes, they do care. But if you're just walking briskly and enjoying the indoors, no, they could care less.

Look, the mall guards are sometimes a little.....well.......jugemantal. Once, I was taking a jog around the mall, and I passed a guard. He looked at me like i was going to jail, and then walked away. THERE FREAKY!

I don't think so.

The mall in our area opens it's doors well before the shops open just for that purpose. It's quite the popular spot among the 70+ set.

Not really. There are "mall walker" groups that do that every day at my local mall. Usually early in the mornings when it's not crowded.

Usually there are no complaints in the morning before the stores are open. I rehab'd a hip replacement by mall walking.

Fact is there's nothing that they can do about it.

Who cares. I see people doing it all the time when I'm at the mall and I don't see anything wrong with it.
