Trying to get to classes in PA. My PA license is valid but privelage in NC is suspended. I am living in NC but a resident of PA. The car I am purchasing needs titled in NC, and my father is willing to title it for me because you need a valid NC drivers license(which they are residents of NC). 1. I never have had a valid nc license and 2. my privilege is revoked in NC. Problem 2 is getting it insured. I can be added to the vehicle as a driver but I am afraid of alerting red flags to the state that I will be driving the vehicle. My insurance company is located in PA, would they insure me under this car if it is a NC title?

NOTE MY PRIVILEGE IN PA HAS NOT BEEN REVOKED. THE DRIVERS LICENSE COMPACT DID NOT WORK ITS WAY TO PA SOMEHOW. I HAVE CALLED THE STATE AND I AM STILL AUTHORIZED TO DRIVE.

If your driving privilege is suspended in one state, it is suspended nationwide. You need to clear up the suspension before you can drive or buy a car anywhere.

Once you do that, your dad can title it and you can add yourself to the insurance.

First, if you are living in NC, you are REQUIRED to have a license in NC. Oops, you got a problem, you can;t get a license in NC cause your privlige is suspended. Being you got a license to drive in PA doesn't make it legal to drive in PA. Sounds to me like you or someone else lied somewhere down the line to get a PA license. When you are suspended in one state, you are suspended in all 50 states. First you need to get your driver's license thing straightened out, If you never had a valid license in NC, how is it that your privlidge in NC is revoked??? what did you do??? As far as getting a vehicle titled. The only legal way is that your dad get the vehicle titled, registered, and insured in his name only. I wouldn't be driving if I was you, cause if you are driving on a PA license and you get into a accident or even as much as a license check, and it is found out that your privlidge to drive in NC is revoked. That may cause you all kinds of legal problems.

Just because they have not picked up the suspension in PA does not make it legal to drive in PA. Any licence suspension means you are not allowed to drive in any province or state. It would be a shame for PA to pick it up after you had an accident. How can you be resident in PA, but you and your family are living in NC? Do you pay your income tax in PA? Do you own a house that you return to? It sounds like you are playing both ends against the middle, and it can be a dangerous game. I suggest you get your priviledges re-instated in NC before you end up bankrupt after an accident, or in jail for fraudulent dealings with the DMV.
When we have people come from out of province to our office for a licence they have to sign a statement to the fact their priviledges or licence are not suspended or revoked in any state or province. If it turns out afterward that they hid something, and it is late showing up on the computer searches (it happens), their new licence is instantly revoked.

Wrong. If you are living in NC, you are not a resident of PA, and if your license is suspended in NC it's suspended everywhere.

Argue if you want, but that's the way it is, and until you get your NC license out of suspension, you can't get a license in any other state. 30 days after you moved out of PA that was the end of your license there even if they somehow missed the suspension.
