i moved to a new house but they sent my check to my old house.so then i called them to send me a replacement i ended up getting the replacment but a month later i got my old check in the mail they told me that if i reiceved the old check to not cash it. what would happen if i do cash it

They would probably deduct it from future checks, or make you pay it back a little at a time.

Do not cash anything you know you weren't entitled too. When I got out of the army THEY screwed up and sent me a $600.00 check. I just thought it was some kind of backpay so I used it to buy a used car. Anyway....a YEAR later they contacted me and wanted it all back!!! Even though it was their mistake!! I had to pay it.....that sucked!!!

Please do NOt cash the second check....at the very least they will want it back and at the worst they might charge you with fraud

Please don't cash this check,it may cause you many future problems
Call SS and ask them what to do.
