I'm in highschool and guys use me "just to get with me" and i guess they think i'm easy, but what i really want is a steady boyfriend. There are these girls in my school who just always have boyfriends...and i'm one of those people who guys only use. What kinds of things to guys look for in a girlfriend and what is the difference between a girlfriend and the way guys see me? Thanks.

Well, if people think that you are "easy", that is clearly not girlfriend material.
You have to develop a more respectable reputation. Now, this has to be a long term plan to get a boyfriend. There is no quick-fix for this, as it seems that there are people who have already made their minds up about you. And so long as that is the case, you are only going to get one type of guy who is interested in you for one reason only.
If you want something more, you have to be prepared to: 1. make some solid changes in your own behaviour, and 2. give it some time to allow new (better) people to come into your life.
Eventually, a guy who was well worth the wait will come along.

If you are implying being used , as be used for sex, or any acts that involve sex, you answered your own Q , what do you think the boys are after ? DA ! There girlfriends wont give it up to them, so go get it from one that will ! Why do you think the boys would want to get serious with you , that's all they have to do is ask a friend what your about ! Doesn't that tell you anything, Wake Up Girl ! Its time to change your ways, if you don't end up pregnant, there is a real good chance you will end up with some type of STD, we had girls like that in school to, and now they say Who my babydaddy, they cant even speak the language they were taught, quite the accomplishment HEY ! WAKE UP BEFORE ITS TO LATE !

I think it's mean to use somebody. You'll find the right guy eventually. You just have to be patient. As a male, I look for girls who are both caring and a bit humorous. Usually, you want to be with someone you share common interests with. Lastly, you don't want to be with somebody if they only want to use you. The right guy will come along will the good traits and see the beauty inside you, and not just the beauty on the outside.

You must come across as a valuable personality rather than just an object. Take an intelligent approach in everything. You need not be desperate for anything, neither do you have to be snobbish. Be honest, demonstrate enough pride and integrity and you will make the deal.

Easy, no sex until youre married and then the decent guys will want to date you because they will know they dont have to worry about you being 2 months pregnant with some other guy's kid 2 weeks into the relationship, and they wont have to worry about getting a disease.Start picking guys who arent players hon.

You have to have self-confidence, stand up for yourself and demand respect. Don't let yourself get used by jerks. You deserve so much better.
It may scare some off at first, but you only want to be someone's girlfriend if they are worthy.

This is not rocket science:
STOP HAVING SEX WITH GUYS WHO YOU ARE NOT IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH!! at the very least!
If guys get to have sex with you, without caring for you, then that's what is going to happen.
Don't give sex to get love, you will never get it that way.
Stop giving it out, and keep it for a meaningful relationship, and stop dressing sexy, you're just a walking advertisement for "free sex" when you do that.

if you are known as the doorknob, a lot of guys dont see that as relationship material because nobody likes to worry about getting cheated on all the time.

well... what you can do to get rid of that image is........ um.... if guys ask you out... then turn them down! it will help cause you aren't saying yes! and then they will try harder and when you do say yes..... make sure that he does really like you... by testing him...
