I have a cat who is disturbed, he bites attacks, and growls, how to we make him an enjoyable pet?

My cat does that when I make him mad. Anyway, try using spray bottles filled with water, and spray him when he is bad. If that doesn't work, try scaring him (not too scared) and he will probably not want to do it (or get scared) Again!

Note: with spray bottles, ONLY USE WATER! anything else could poison them.

If you just got him, give him time to settle in. Don't pick him up, he'd only look at that as a sort of attack. Take your time with him and be patient. Move slow, only pet the areas he likes, and only for very brief times.

I took in a stray that it took me 3 years to tame down, he had a lot of trust issues and touch was one of them. It took 3 months indoors before I could touch him on both sides of his ribs and not get 'shark mouth' coming at me. I didn't pick him up at all. He got used to me and the routine here, and I was consistent with how I was around him so he knew what to expect.

After 6 months I could sort of lift him up, and he liked to be brushed, but would always overstimulate on the petting so I kept it short and did NOT touch his feet, legs or belly, as those were vulnerable areas on him. His head, neck and shoulders were fine.

Frankly, it took 4 years before he turned into a lap cat, and then he REALLY glommed onto laps. He never did like his legs or belly rubbed, but mellowed out on everything else.

We just lost him in September to heart disease, after having him here for 7 years.

Leave him alone, ignore him, feed and water him and let him get used to you.
