Seabees are construction workers for the armed forces. They assist all branches, not just the Navy. The usually perform construction duties involving urgent combat related needs. Like building an airfield, comand center, brigs, logistic support centers, fuel/water depots, sanitation facilities etc. Seabees have many different ratings such as Constuction Mechanincs, Heavy equipment operators,utilitiesman,welders and construction electricians. In addition to thier construction duties, Seabees are also trained to fight in combat due to the possibilty of working in combat zones. See link for more info.

They are the navys moblie consturction battalions . My husband is in the Seabees he is a builder. They are basicly the same as the Army's core of enginers. The seabees covers about everything construction (building, mason, equipment operators, electritions, steel workers, plumbers to office workers, supply.

The CB's are the Navy's Construction Battalion. If you want a well built.... bunker, ammo storage dump, airfield, field hospital, road in the middle of nowhere, or anything you can conj er up...call the CB's. they will do it. somehow. Fortunately for the Marines, they build a lot of facilities for them too. They are the Civil engineers of a war zone, they can make magic happen while led is flying. Nope..I an not one, but as a Marine, I have stayed in what they constructed and what they build can take a direct hit

Seabees means "CB" or Construction Battalion. They build roads, airfields, buildings, etc.

the seabees are a community in the navy that builds and fights. they are ground sailors. they consist of builders, welders, steelworkers, utilitiesman, equipment operators, electricians, mechanics, and stuff like that.

The Sea-Bees were the Construction Battalion (CB). If a guy didn't "test-out" too well or over the age limit he could still serve.
