The best thing you can do is have both of you checked for STD's before you become sexually active together. There isn't much you can do to protect yourself from catching something from a woman when you are giving oral, unless you want to put some saran wrap over her and then have no skin contact. Nonetheless, this isn't a proven method. As long as you both get checked for STD's, you won't have to worry about protection during oral sex.
(you can get free testing done at your school health clinic or at a local planned parenthood)

There isn't much to protect you from catching anything while pleasuring her that way. There are female condoms; however, they go inside the vagina so that won't protect you. There is something called a "Dental Dam" that is made for protecting against STD's while giving oral- your local health department should have these.
If you are worried about catching something, don't be just sleeping with anyone and don't do anything if you see she has warts or anything like that visable down there.
Many people say to use saran wrap, but that hasn't been scientifically tested, of course. Also, she won't be able to feel everything the same way since it covers the skin. So I don't suggest using this. Try a Dental Dam.

If she doesn't have anything visibly going wrong down there, your chances of catching something from giving your girl oral are really, really low.
There is something called a "dental dam" you can use, it's a piece of latex that covers your mouth and tongue but still allows you to get the job done. Most people do not use any kind of protection for oral sex, nobody wants a piece of latex in their mouth. I suppose you would use it if you knew your girl was infected and you weren't.

Dental dams are small, thin, square pieces of latex that are used for oral-vaginal or oral-anal sex. They get their name from their use in dental procedures. Dental dams help to reduce the transmission of STIs during oral sex by acting as a barrier to vaginal and anal secretions that contain bacteria and viruses. They come in a variety of sizes and flavors - so you can find a dam that satisfies your tastes.
Flavored dental dams are available for 50 cents from your RPL, in the 1st and 3rd floor bathrooms of Health Services, and in Health Education. If you don’t have a dental dam you can make one out a male or female condom, latex glove, or non-microwavable saran wrap.
To make a dental dam out of a condom, simply cut off the tip and cut down one side. To make a dental dam out of a latex glove, cut off the finger and cut down one side. If using saran wrap, it is important that it be non-microwavable because the pores in microwaveable saran wrap are large enough to allow viruses and bacteria to pass through.
