thanks for comments, i feel silly writing about it but my parents are very fickle, it was not an easy being teenager in their house, hence reason why i left would never live with them ever.
i just dont want anything to spoil things, my mum is very materialistic, and i think they always seen me as the problem one, even though my brother was bad.
if i dont own up she'll see it missing, and want to know where it is, ill have to say ill repair it but she's very fussy and may have got the frame in a one off shop although its not toatally damaged only part of it is looose, i just know my dad will say typical! cos the other night i was hoovering for them and must have accidently disconnected the internet wire (as the wire was lying all over floor) and i was like, i dont remember seeing myself disconnet it while hoovering i just hoovered the room but he was like so your not going to admit it and went huffy thats what he's like unfortautely.

I hate it when stuff like that happens. Of course we always blow it way out of proportion and it feels like it's the end of the world. There's not much you can do except own up. They're going to notice it's not there. Do it now, then they'll have forgotten about it by Christmas.
Edit - Ok. Time for action. Make it look repaired. Do a botched job if you have to just do your best and put it back. How closely do they look at it if their house is full of stuff already? I do sympathise with how your they are very materialistic...your parents are role models, and it feels wrong when you don't agree with them. But as you get older, you'll find it easier to say, yes they were wrong about certain things.

Oh you poor thing, always best to just own up say it as you said it to us,that you were trying to not wake them up and accidentally knock down picture say you are going to get it mended ,but remember you are now a adult so act like one don't let them reduce you to being a Little girl again these things happen apologise but take control just then go on to say how you are looking forward to a good Christmas together and laugh about how clumsy you were as a girl, take control girl you can do it ,all the best xx

I know what you mean. I'm rather clumsy myself. So clumsy, I've taken to calling these "Mr Bean Moments" lol (hopefully you're familiar with that show, I'd youtube it if you aren't)
It seems that these things happen more when you tell yourself "these things always happen." I know it sounds like a goofy explanation, but you might find that changing your self talk might change what happens. You could try saying "I'm always careful" instead.
Don't worry about your parents. They should understand that it was a total accident. Just tell them they have a Mr Bean living with them, that should smooth it over lol ;)

Hun be more fair on your self we all have accidents its not like you done it on purpose, if your mum and dad get really upset about it that's there problem, one thing i learnt once i had kids and dog is not to worry about material stuff because stuff will get broken, and I'm a cleaning freak and very house proud. own up and get it out the way so you can enjoy Xmas xx

Your parents are going to react however they react. You can't control that or change it.
All you can do is to show them what you've done and offer to get it fixed.
(*hug*) You know, there's always one kid in a family who seems in this mess. Just remember you're an adult now, and deal with like an adult. Don't let them make you act like you're 10.

I think this is because you are not comfortable being there- you always do things like that through nerves! Poor you. OWN up, it doesn't matter, you are their son, i am sure they will just forget it. Yes, i would tell them how they make me feel uncomfortable and nervous. x
