I can normally only breathe through one nostril when I'm at home. I can blow my nose and its not congested or anything, but air doesn't really go through there unless I cover up the nostril I'm breathing through. Sometimes if I'm out playing tennis or doing something outside I can breathe normally, so I think its an allergy to something indoors.

Is there anything natural I can try and home before I resort to prescription nasal sprays? I'm already taking some prescription medication and I don't want to get on anything else unless I have to.

Would things like saline solutions or vapor rub help?

I would try saline solutions or steam first. Don't use the vapor rub unless you are actually sick.

Now- you might even try eating something that is VERY spicy: That will clear your sinuses in a hurry.

Could it be possible that the air in your home is too dry? Try a humidifier. However, if the inflammation within your nostrils is due to mold in your environment, as in a damp basement or damp washroom/laundry area, then you would need to use a dehumidifier to absorb the excess moisture in the air which will reduce mold growth and hopefully help you breathe normally again. You can try the saline solution.
