"Where did you get a prison tat like that on your neck?" The answer to that one is usually very revealing.

I would recommend more than specific questions that you keep an equilibrium in what you ask, what you allowed to be asked, what you share and what would be important for you to share and ask. I would also ad a little bit of casual conversation, you never know how much you can learn from the most candid questions.

Where do you work? What do you like to do? Have you lived here your whole life? (can go far on that one with things about if they liked it there, if they'd go back, weather there, etc...).
The key is to get them talking so you don't have to, you don't want it to look like you are playing 20 questions. Let them do most of the talking by asking questions that they have to say more than "yes" or "no".

Personally I like to ask about their spiritual life or what kind of spiritual ground they stand on, this is what attracts me to a person....Caution though this may not be a good ice breaker question. There is a good little book packed with questions, called "Getting to Know You" by: Jeanne Sweeney & Charles Leacha......Check it out!

Well I would asked where he is from, age, what kind of music he likes, just talk to him in general. I found out ones birthday and I really didn't have to ask him, we were talking about ages and it came up. Does he have kids, divorced, married. There is some much one could ask, Just go with what you have. Just talk .

You know, I would ask very few questions. You can't necessarily believe what a person says, especially in a dating scenario. I would just quietly observe their behavior in various settings. It will eventually tell you what you need to know.

ask them about current events and their opinion, you know like the war on iraq, or about stem cell research, their religious views, their opinion on gay marrige, or their political stand points. Questions like this will really tell you the kind of person they are.

Get them talking about their brothers and sisters. That will you about their childhood some, as well as their parents, and about how they value family.
By using topics that are tangential to what you are looking to find out they will tell you impressions of things they might have guarded other wise.

Only say,'What do you know of me and think of me?' Then whatever is said will reveal the inner self of the person as you know the truth about yourself.
