Replace it with something that is better for you, like water, decaf tea, soup, juice, etc...
Also, try reducing the amount of coffee you consume slowly, to see if you need to avoid any withdrawal symptoms, like increased fatigue or headaches. .
Also try some ideas from 12 step programs. See if you can go a day without it (one day at a time). And then keep increasing the number of days you go without coffee or other stimulants.

They say it takes a few weeks to a month before a new habit (in this case, avoiding coffee) becomes permanent.

Try different things until you find something that works for you.
Good luck !

go slowly. try cutting down by half a cup a day. that way, you won't miss it as much. if you miss having the coffee cup in your hand, substitute the half-caff coffee for regular. then cut down from there. eventually switch to decaff. then, if you want to cut coffee altogether, switch to milk, juice, or water. but only cut the caffeine by half a cup a day over two or three days each step or you will get a major headache.

Start cutting back first by quantity (large to medium to small); twice a day. Then cut back to once a day. You may experience headaches when going off caffeine. Avoid chocolate, colas and caffeinated teas as this will not help. Try substituting with herbal teas, hot chocolate, and continue to drink water regularly.

start making the coffee weaker and change over to decaf. i quit one month ago. that's how i did it. decaf is fine with me. something hot during cold weather. it took me three weeks to get over that tired feeling myself. i quit several times before and now know the secret to really quitting is not to start having just that one because that how i got addicted again.
