No I think he IS a great running back I can't stand Philly and even I am willing to acknowledge he is one of the top backs of our time especially when you look at his overall impact on a game

honestly, no if he continues the way he is going. Don't get me wrong he is great now but he is the Eagles only offensive production and what will happen when team start hammering him he got injured some this year. Westbrook needs help or he is going to end up like Terrell Davis, Icky Woods, Billy Sims, or even Earl Cambell ending with a career ending injury.

As far as I'm concerned the Eagles can't pay him enough. The guy is absolutely terrific. Andy Reid has never impressed me since the day he came to Philadelphia. More times than none he is out coached as his playoff record will show. The Eagles should have been in at least 3 Super Bowls and would have won at least one if not for Reid.

Westbrook is just another example of Reid lack of ability to recognize his own talent. He is the Eagles MVP for sure.

brian westbrook is already a great running back. He does everything for them. He is the best pass catching running back and he is productive everygame, unlike Adrian Peterson. I am sick of people wanting to crown Adrian Peterson the rank of God because he had some great games. This was because ppl wern't gameplanning for him.

A few weeks ago he played SF and he had 3 yards on 14 carries... are you kidding me.. thats because the niners game planned for him.... I know this doens't really have much to do with brian westbrook, exept for the fact that i think he is great, but i just wanted to get my opinion out there.

Westbrook is one of the most versatile RB's in the league. Unfortunately for him, Eagles never "showcased" his talents. They were too busy "featuring" McNabb. That is not to say McNabb isn't a good QB(but Cunningham was better). Eagle's public relations wanted "focus" on McNabb to justify the "pick".
Back to the question. Westbrook isn't properly utilized for him to be recognized as a "great" back. They would have to have "featured" him more, for him to get the recognition he deserves.

He already is. He doesn't get enough credit, but his dual-threat capability is the envy of many running backs in the NFL.

And don't forget that early on in Philly, he was used as part of a "three-headed monster" rushing attack with Duce Staley and Correll Buckhalter. And it was effective enough for them to have that run of success in the NFC a few years ago...

Do you watch football? If you do, what are you talking about "will he?", he is an awesome running back ALREADY! I am not a Phila fan although I live right outside of the city, but really, he is a great player and one of the best running backs in the game in the last few years.

Where have you been? Westbrook already is one of the top RB's in the game, and Philly does use him greatly. Either that, or the large number of points my fantasy team has gotten because of him has been a HUGE miscalculation.

He has been the only consistent player on the offense. The guy is already a great running back. And I'm a Packers fan that hates him.

He's great already. from last week, i saw one play that change my view toward him, he falls down at the one yard line and give their team a victory. how many guys are willing to giving up a TD to get a victory, i bet Randy Moss won't, nor TO, and most important one, LT won't, he only cares about TD record.
