A backhoe digger (such as a JCB) is Category F, the same as farm tractors, on a driving licence.

The minimum age for this category is 17 (or age 16 for tractors less than 2.45m wide, only pulling trailers less than 2.45m wide with two wheels, or four close-coupled).
