Only a 40"? Why not a 46"?

For a 46" Samsung, get the LTN4671F. Available at Amazon.com for $1999.98 including free shipping and depending on where you live, possibly no sales tax.

But if you really want a 40", get the Samsung LTN4071F for about $1,550 at Amazon.com

These 71 series Samsung TVs are just freaking awesome. They have the sharpest and clearest display I've ever seen on a TV. With a 1080p Blu-Ray DVD, they transcend normal TV and you get flashes of a feeling you are not watching a movie, but are actually there. People look like people, and not images of people.

Go try and see it in a store first so you can see what I'm talking about. It really is just incredible and in my mind blows the Sonys out of the water in HD image quality.

Sony makes the BEST lcd TV PERIOD. I have a sharp and I'm very pleased but if I had the $ its sony all the way. When looking to buy a lcd there is basically two specs you need to be aware of. First of the resolution and it seems you have that down, next is the response rate, its usually measured in milliseconds and you want the fastest rate! Otherwise you'll see terrible trails, which is the biggest downside of lcd tvs.

I'd rather you get the SAMSUNG from above, not the Sharp.

I've seen both and the Sharp display has some rather OBVIOUS faults with the pixels on it.
