I'd think there life would have improved significantly.
When Jesus was 12 yrs old we hear of him teaching at the temple. Did he have private tutors. Maybe home schooled.
If he had been poor he would have been scraping around helping to make a living for the family.
Then no mention of him until he is 30 yrs of age.
Where was He?

Two simple suggestions:

If you believe him to be the SON of GOD; how can he not have all the wisdom in the world? Why would he need a tutor?

If you don't believe him to be the Son of God, don't you know throughout human history there have been children with extraordinary learning abilities? Have you heard of prodigies?

Do you find it impossible that he was an alert, intelligent, curious child who listened in to adult conversations and had the innate desire to know more about his GOD???...Actually this is the way the Bible portrays him. At least that's the way I see it. I believe he discovered being God's son as he grew and matured. He was not pretending to be a child while time passed and he grew. He was a legitimate normal child whom just happened to be the SON OF GOD.

REGARDING WEALTH obtained from the sale of the gold; being his parents humble and rich in saintness_it takes absolute saints to accept what they did_what care would they give such material things? Also Joseph was poor but had a skill, which provided for his family and his son.

What was Jesus doing till age 30? Simply being normal and helping his family and working along his elderly father. You forget JESUS was a carpenter?

I think God didn't want to focus on his earthly life but only on his birth because of the prophecies about it and his ministry and death.

Maybe God knew they would need the gold to live off of in the future. Maybe they used it when they fled to Egypt to live off of or maybe they saved it for Jesus since it was given to him as a gift. If that was the case, then knowing Jesus, He probably gave it to the poor.

Jesus was not schooled in the sense that some of us have been. He was preordained by God his eternal father to preach and to present the new covenant, not only to the Jewish people but to Gentiles as well.
As for the gold God takes no account of earthly trifles. The three gifts were symbolic of his Godliness. They were the only valuable gifts that the three wise men could think of in their earthly wisdom.

They had to leave rather abruptly for Egypt and as you know there are many extorsionists and people who overcharge for services etc they must have suffered from that in their trip through that foreign land, then thew must have been very generous with the needy since they had God as their treasure and not gold or earthly wealth

These gifts would have been very costly in this time and so probably paid for trip to Egypt and the time they have to spend there.

As for His training, he would have been schooled at home and probably by His uncle Zechariah, who was also a priest, and would have apprenticed with his foster dad, Joseph. so he was able to help support the family after Joseph's death.

joseph was wise in the word.
and JESUS was taught by GOD.
and he waxed strong and was please by GOD and men.
Josheph is a carpenter and had many sons and daughters..jesus was step son of course. having money kids, proves GOD blessing is upon them.
JESUS at age of 12 was smarter than the scribes in that synogoge.
for HE thought..it was TIME for him to go to work for GOD. but not yet.
the rules to be a preacher, they have to wait till age of 30.

Why would his childhood matter? Only his ministry matters. Gold is of the Earth. Jesus is the Son of God. God has no use for earthly gold

because they were humble. none of that mattered to them.

Jesus was God in the flesh. He was perfect. i doubt that He needed help when it came to education. His parents always provided for Him and His brothers and sisters.

He was a carpenter. He worked.
