So I go out on a date with a guy, we have a great time and we agree to see each other the very next weekend. We talk on the phone or through IM all week leading up to that weekend. Then Friday comes around and he never calls or talks to me again. What is up with that? If he didn't like me then why did he continue to talk to me after that date!

If it was this past Friday something may have come up and he's not had a chance to let you know what happen. If it was last Friday or before and some time has gone by he probably found someone else or he may have been just using you to someone else jealous..... I wouldn't take it as a sign about you. Hopefully you weren't being used, but if it's been a week most likely you were.

Personally it is rather odd that he breaks you off all of the sudden and without warning. My guess is that he didn't have as good of time as you did with him and he didn't have the guts to let you know. He may have found someone else and he doesn't know how to let you off easy. He could be getting cold feet about getting into a relationship. That may be what you want, but he may not want it yet.

maybe he had something come up...like something really serious?
give it some time..maybe he will call and tell you what happened...if its not valid, then forget him, you can get someone else.
