They make me want to believe that there is a hell.
Santa Liberal (below) gets it exactly right: everyone who paid Yahoo to run an ad right now is getting screwed royally as a result of that Gap ad.

You can get rid of it if you are using the Firefox browser by downloading the "Adblock Plus" extension from the Firefox site. It's easy and works almost instantaneously. And, oddly enough, it makes almost all my pages download faster.

I haven't used it but supposedly Internet Explorer users can get similar results from a plug-in called "Adblock Pro."

(It is interesting that such an ad is prompting people to seek out ad-blocking software, which is blocking Yahoo!'s revenue stream. Isn't it ironic that by posting that ad, they may be destroying a big part of their income potential?)
