I have an 11lb ham with a recipe for a crockpot, only my crock pot is not large enough. Can't I just use my oven at a low temperature to create the same effect? Of course, I realize that I would have to cover the Ham.

Yes you can cook the ham slowly in the oven.. make sure it is covered like you said and be sure to check that the water in the pan doesn't evaporate.. if it does, add more but not too much. If the water evaproates you'll have a dry ham.

I had rather use the oven. Put your ham in a large pan, add water up one third way( this makes good ham liquor to cook green beans ,etc with later so save it and ref.) Cook ham at 300-350 degrees for 2 hours. Cooking time depends on your oven. Keep it covered while cooking.

No, I don't think it would have the same effect, because each crockpot is calibrated differently than an oven, however.
when you bake your ham, be sure that you have plenty of glaze and baste it often, as the liquid will evaporate(cook off) faster than in the crockpot.

Yes, I think you can. Just make sure that the ham is in a pot that seals well, just like the Crock Pot does. It sounds delicious.

get aluminum foil/regular yellow mustard/brownsuger/pepper and garlic salt/ honey..cover the ham in mustard and mix the rest of ingredients and cover ham with it. Wrap in foil and bake for 2 hours at 300-325 degrees..there will be liquid so put in in a shallow pan.
