The correct term is selective blindness! You act like you do not even see them, totally ignoring their existence! Do not say a word, do not cause a scene, just totally ignore them!

Ignore them, pretend they don't even exist. It's better than saying something mean and looking like a jerk. And it usually irks the person more if you pretend you do not know them.

Ignore them.
No one else wants to be a part of your problems,
and to drag others in, with public displays of distain,
not only demonstrates immaturity, but a complete
lack of respect.

I'd just ignore them. I had a falling out with my best friend when we were in high school, and when her mom saw me in public, she LITERALLY shielded her face with her hand so I wouldn't see her. It was pretty effective- there's no way I'll ever speak to her after that. :)

I would avoid them, but if I couldn't I would just say enough until they left me alone... Like if they came up and said hi I would say hi but it would be very clear that I did not want to be standing there talking to them and that I was not pleased with that person... I wouldn't pretend to be happy with them.

I would definitely turn around and go the opposite direction or take a right or take a left . I would try my hardest not to have a confrontation with them under the circumstances.

I think it really depends on what you want to do. If saying something to them will make you feel better i think you should...theres nothing worse than obsessing over and over again after you saw someone wishing you said something.

I would purposly ignore them and would not hide it.
If they pushed it and asked me how was I doing I would answer politely that I was fine and thank you. I would not ask them how they were and I would turn away.
