I don't know about most but I have seen Jesus portrayed as Black, not *******/mongolian, but dark skinned with much the same features as what we normally see in the white/caucasian pictures. Considering he was born in what is now the north Africa/Middle East territory it is very likely he was darker skinned than most caucasions are. I don't know that I have ever seen a profile showing a "Barbra Striesand" nose that is often associated with Jewish people..........but unless you see the nose in profile it doesn't look so prominent....

The pictures you see of Jesus comes from the great painter Michelangelo. Others like the Last Supper comes from the universal genius Leonardo Da Vinci. The Catholic Church has portrayed these picture to churches around the world. The answer is no. Since Catholic and christian churches were responsible for the spread of Christianity throughout the world - and since they portrayed Jesus as Caucasian this is the only picture we have. Of course there is a Black Jesus but these are individual portraits and are not distributed on a large scale.

It was one of the most awe-inspiring visions any man had ever experienced. Alone, high up on Mount Sinai, Moses was granted an unusual request. He was allowed to see what no human had ever seen—the glory of God. Of course, Moses did not see God directly. So splendid is the appearance of God that no man may behold him and yet live. Instead, God put his “palm” over Moses as a protective screen until He had passed by, evidently using an angelic representative. Then God allowed Moses to see the afterglow of this divine manifestation of glory. God also spoke with Moses through an angel. The Bible describes what happened afterward: “Now it came about when Moses came down from Mount Sinai . . . that the skin of his face emitted rays because of his having spoken with [Jehovah].”—Exodus 33:18–34:7, 29.
So, No one has seen GOD at any time.Meaning Jesus aint God. The apostle John whom Jesus especially loved, confirmed the fact that the apostles were not seeing God when they looked at Jesus. Under inspiration John said: “No man has seen God at any time.” (John 1:18)
Caucasian or Not.

I am from Cleveland where Black doesn't seem to be a minority. I can't speak for pictures of God, but I saw text books from an urban catholic school which portrayed an african american Jesus. I have also seen a very Indian looking one too. So, I would say yes. Especially now when people are faulted for not being politically correct.

I know that African Americans have pictures of Black Jesus. I would be curious about other cultures, too. I would think he might look differently than most of our pictures portray. I wonder where the first images of Jesus came from.

Don't worry about the race issue -- yours is a perfectly good question. In Africa, both Jesus and God are portrayed as Black. In East Asia, Christians portray God as Asian, and in India, as a South Asian.

Nobody knows if God is black or white or somewhere in between. But most of the people who believe in the God you are talking about happen to be white (America and Europe).
I imagine Asians see God as Asian and vise versa.

People picture God as aperson becuase it is the only picture we have. I am sure that God looks like a person because we were created from his image. I dont think He has a specific race though. We humans just make a best guess, adn we probably all picture Him according to our own image.

GOD is a spirit, a power, I don't see him with a skin color. On the other hand, I think that Jesus(God in human form) was middle eastern.

I'm Caucasian, but I believe Jesus was Jewish, Middle Eastern. (There's plenty of proof he is. Look at the location he was born in!)
