Correct.

"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit." - Matthew 1:18

Right. Mary was already pregnant by the Holy Spirit when Joseph married her (Luke 1, Matthew 1), and they didn't have sex until after Jesus was born (Matthew 1:25). The Catholic Church teaches that they never did.

Correct, as has already been stated. The virgin birth is a sign of the Messiah. It is foretold both in Genesis as well as in Isaiah. The Messiah had to be born of a virgin. The sin nature is passed on through the seed of the father. The Messiah had to be born of a virgin to avoid the sin nature that would be passed on through the seed of the father. The Messiah had to be the perfect sacrifice - that means no sin nature. It was all an act of God in carrying out His plan for man's redemption.

That's right. In fact, at first Joseph didn't even believe that she was still a virgin when he found out. Joseph was going to break up with Mary until Gabriel came and told him that her son was from God. Ergo, she is called "Virgin Mary"

If not, then he wasn't the Messiah. The Messiah is born in the usual way between a married Jewish man and wife.

Not from some god swooping down and impregnating virgins. This is ancient paganism, that's where this comes from. It does not come from the Jewish bible, nor from Judiasm. The word there is not "virgin" nor has there ever been any concept of a virgin birth for the Messiah in Judiasm.

Why? Because that is not what God gave on Mt. Sinai. It comes from ancient pagan mythology, adopted by the Church.

Correct. It was the Holy Spirit, this is why Jesus was both God AND Man.

No. God wanted a Son, but he wanted his Son to spread good words. So he sent a child (Jesus) to Marys woumb.
But she was a virgin. The Virgin Mary.
