Was a way of proving the divinity of Christ by not saying hi "name in vain"?

I don't think so. This was covered in an earlier Q. It is possible that the initials on the cross were misinterpreted and handed down this way. Go to the green bar Search for questions: and type this in: What does the H in Jesus H Christ stand for? You'll find the answer if you scroll through.

Hope this helps
:)

Divinity is a yummy candy made from Meringue. Every time someone talks about the 'divinity of Christ', I envision a huge, egg-white Jesus stomping about the world like Godzilla.

Smile... and have some Christmas cookies.

No if you say that you are still blaspheming. I prefer to say Jesus the messiah or Christ Jesus to be clearer.

Seems doubtful--more disrespectful, not less.
