It is a case of if you are polite to people they usually recipricate no matter how rough they appear to be.
Some of the kindest hearts the most gentle of women when the chips are down belong to the roughest of women. They want to be ladies and like to be treated as such

Probably because everyone likes to be respected and there are far too many ignorant idiots around today. Maybe I shouldn't generalise, but it certainly feels that way at times - 'I'm here, adore me.'

It's because every woman is a lady, whether she's treated like one or not. When you treat a woman like a lady, she FEELS like the lady that she is and reacts accordingly. :)
