My ex boyfriend ( who is now going out with a friend of mine) recently gave me a very nice Christmas gift, along with a card which mentions how happy I make him, and how I make him a complete person. He also signed it "love always"
What does this mean? is it ok for him to say something like that when he is dating someone else ( who is a good friend of mine?)

Without digging to deep, on the surface there is nothing wrong with signing a card love or love always. Since he is going with a friend of yours, is that the reason why he's your ex now? I guess the important thing to find out is does he "love you" or is he "in love with you" still? If he says the first, then he loves you as person, a woman, and maybe even a child of God! That's good and normal. If you can't be Friends after the relationship is over than you shouldn't talk at all. If he says the latter, then he's not sure who he wants or for that matter who he is!! (Having the cake, and wanting the ice cream too!!!!)

he might have some feelings for you and he doesn't want it to be obvious so he tells you that he is glad he knows you and all that. just be careful that you don't get in between him and your friend. since they are going out. but on the other hand he could be saying that he is glad you guys are still friends even after the breakup. he probably shouldn't have signed it like that but it could mean one of two things. either he likes you still or he is saying he loves you as a friend.

it means he still cares for you i'm not sure how much he could just be looking out for you but then again he could still want to be with you to say love always it's only really a boyfriend would say in my eyes.
