Perhaps Kayde, if you knew the history of war and the time spent by the UN doing post mortem appraisals of war, you would better understand how and why these rules of engagement are in place.

It isn't as though most country's adhear to these policies during wartime, but it is a start. The Red Cross as an example, sees many of the atrocities of war, up front and personal. They report the information they find to watchdogs throughout the world. From this, certain rules are established and country's are asked to swear to uphold the established rules.

When civilized countries find themselves at war with barbarians such as al Qaeda, all bets are off. Al Qaeda is a clear example of horrific atrocities on both military and civilian populations. Suicide bombers, be headings of journalists, religious fanaticism, starting battles amongst densely populated civilians, these are the earmarks of barbaric and uncivilized terrorists. Are these the games you refer to ?

All of the above examples are conditions not acceptable to civilized country's, yet al Qaeda, Iran insurgents, Hezbollah, Hamas, the Taliban, these are all terrorist organizations that put into practice, the prohibited conditions of war.

Before going to war they think of it as somewhat fo a game sure.

But before its over the attitude changes. Only those that lived in the times of the last 2 great wars understand how horrible and terrifying it really is

I think this world leader we have in charge of us, US, thinks it is. And just think he, Bush, will be going to weddings, two daughters, while other Americans, because of his war gaming, will be going to funerals.

The countries we fight don't follow the rules we do. (Geneva Convention)
It's supposed to be more "just". They even make bullets less lethal to come in to standards.
I think it's bull sh*t.
