Whose definition of God*. I am so tired of people quoting "The Bible" and not recognizing that they are just quoting one of 22 different authors who each had their own agenda and defined God in a way to control their congregations -so to say. (I am just guessing at the #22)

I'm content with the possibility that God could have made it such that meteors exist, without predetermining their exact pathways as they might knock into one another. Allowing for this limited "freedom" may not be at all problematic insofar as their activity doesn't interfere with God's larger purpose.

Short of a moral law, I imagine much of human activity functions in that manner.

You and I cannot answer for God. But God will not mind if you will caste vote according to your own choice and conscience. By the way what did the God say to you in morning when you ate potatoes instead of omlette while taking breakfast.

If God created all people, and we choose our leaders from those people, then you can say that he indirectly had a say in our choice of leaders. God, knowing the heart of man, isn't surprised at who we choose. I find it ironic that people always want someone to lead them. Presidents or kings, we still need someone who we think can solve all of our problems. None have. Isn't that interesting that people always need leadership. You think that maybe the Creator designed us that way? I do.

People who lead have chosen this for themselves. Whether or not they do good with their power is up to them, too. Sometimes, they forget about the concept of consequence.
