I was watching VH1 and they were talking about the top 40 videos of 2007. Matchbox 20's "How Far We've Come" was on the top list, and he was talking about how it will end for Mormons, Catholics, and Atheists and we'll only find out who is right after we're dead. And he said "I put my money on the Mormons"
So is he Mormon, or just saying that?

He was being funny, and I don't believe that he is LDS.
The creators of South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, once were quoted as saying that if any one religion was to take over the Earth, they'd want it to be the Mormons because they're nice to everybody. Stone & Parker are both libertarian atheist.
As far as a celebrity list, the lead singers of The Killers and Panic at the Disco top the list for me.

I have no idea. Did you ask the folks in the Music section? I love Rob Thomas, better than Matchbox 20 together. But I don't follow the pop scene well enough to know what's going on there.

He's not on the famous Mormons list, I checked there too! I haven't seen that video yet for Rob Thomas's song, bit I'd bet that he has seen that You tube video from South Park with all of the people who have died all wondering why they weren't in heaven. Which is funny, but of course not doctrinely sound, nobody is going to hell who is a good person of another faith. :)
