For myself, I was baptised as a Catholic many years ago, due to the fact that one of my parents was a Catholic, more down to family tradition than an allegiance to the faith. I never followed through, but I respect the fact that there are dedicated sincere people who attach a lot of importance to their religion. I am curious to know people's views as to his sincerity, and how they view him as a member of their congregation. Do you see it as a personal choice, and him as a worthy participant, or something different to this?

I will always give a person the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.

The Catholic Church accepts all recovering sinners. No repentant sinner is ever turned away.

With love in Christ.

I am happy that he has finally come to see the Catholic Church to be the only true Church to have been founded by Jesus Christ.

Everyone is a worthy participant, he is simply taking on his divine right to salvation.

Not catholic myself, but I believe he's sincere. He's been mocked repeatedly by the press for his faith and I don't see why he would put up with that if he wasnt genuine. So I'm very happy for him.
God bless.
