Your best bet is to create a two-column table, then hide the borders so it looks better.
To create the table, do this:
1.Click the Table->Insert->Table menu item.
2.Give the table two columns and as many rows as you feel like. You can always add or delete rows later. I suggest you make a row per entry. This will keep your left-hand entries neatly associated with the right.
Other thoughts:
1.To turn off the borders, click in the table, then click the Tables->Table properties menu item. Select Borders and shading and edit to suit.
2.You can use the first row as a table header that will be repeated on each page. To do this, click in the first row, then click the Table >Heading Rows Repeat menu item.
Hope that helps.

You can create a table. Hit the "table" tab on top, "insert", "table" and then choose that you want 2 columns. That will give you a split page.
If you want to add rows (so your explanation and equation for each problem is separated from the next), you would then add rows. You can also insert rows within a table once you create it. If you don't want rows, change the number for rows to zero and you're all set!
Good luck!

In Word, go to the menu bar.
Chose Format
Chose Columns. That will open up a window where you can chose Two.
Click OK.
You now have a 2-column page.

Find the point where you want to divide the document and place your cursor before that first line and just keep hitting the enter key until you have moved all you want to page 2.
When you are ready select print, properties, features, 2 sided print.
Voila!

easiest way is to create a table by clicking on the table icon and then running your mouse across two columns and down however many rows you need, although when you are in the second column tabbing in the last row will bring in another row each time.
Type the explanation in one column, tab to the next then the equation. Tab to next row, explanation, tab and equation.

ok to split it in half, if you have MS 2007 or 2010 the column icon is right in the middle next to the page margins, under page layout. so click on page layout and look for colum icon [shows paper with two colums] and your good to go. same goes for 2003 i want to say? hope it helped!

2 options:
1. make 2 columns with the colun button
2. make a table with 2 coluns and make the borders not black.

Change your printer settings to print double sided, or just print one page on one side, the other page on another.
