I got a 80GB American PS3, and am using an adaptor. The first time i turned it on, it ran ok, but now, i turn on the power and it cuts out like a circuit breaker went off. Anyone know whats wrong?

I own US PS3 in Europe. Make sure, that you use a power converter which provides at least 380 watts of power. I have a 500W power supply (big, bulky and quite heavy). It costed me around 50$.

why buy an american version unless you are in america, should have bought the uk version. do you anyone who is handy with electronics you could maybe get them to check how many volts/amps your converter is putting out in comparison to what its supposed to. is it plugged into the main socket rather than an extension lead.
