Is there any substitute (flour plus baking soda??) for jiffy mix?

Kevin --- mix flour, salt, and baking powder
mix in shortening and you have jeffy mix, if you want to use butter milk you need to add baking soda. Some where on the net I have seen a recipe for a baking mix but at this time I don't remember where. jim b

Flour, salt, dried shortening, baking powder is pretty much all that's in Jiffy mix.
