or that his/her/otherwise humor is squeaky clean? I mean why wouldn't God joke about sex and junk like that? Theoretically God calls the shots on those type things.

C'mon, the mullet alone is proof enough.

You got me. I joke with God all the time. I have never found that he avoids any topic, no matter how 'distasteful'. It seems to me that people frequently attribute their own cultural biases to God. If we feel that sex is a taboo subject then of course God wouldn't talk about it.

Its really a little sad to me. We go to God assuming we know all about Him, and we don't take the time to get to know Him for who He is. Of course, that's how we treat each other; I wouldn't expect people to behave any differently with God.

With Love,

i think God has avery good sense of humor. We may not look at it that way some times. I think he jokes about a lot of things, but in a clean way. A good movie to watch I know it's just a movie, but watch(Evan almighty) it's kinda funny and if you think about it why wouldn't God joke about building a large boat. have you ever noticed that we take things better with humor. We were made from God's imagine so I guess he would have a sense of humor.

You don't think God enjoyed making the donkey talk to the dumb guy who thought he was so wise because he took money and prestige from the king as a false prophet but could do nothing to the Israelites because you can't curse who God blesses. Balaam got the shock of his life when God opened that donkey's mouth and let him speak. Instead of God killing the donkey and Balaam, God had mercy upon the donkey who saw God's angel standing ready to slay Balaam the false prophet.

God has a sense of humor. God made that donkey smarter than his master Balaam. Read it for yourself in Number 22:21

I think God has a great sense of humor, and that some of His followers are a lot more hung up about things like sex than He is.

Wouldn't it be cool if we got to heaven and found out that God was actually Eddie Izzard?

"I'm from heaven. That's where all the history comes from." :)

Good point. I think God has an extraordinary sense of humor; if He wanted to, He could make you laugh so hard you'd die. I tend to see His humor in nature; any thing with a duck-bill is inherently funny. As big as they are, elephants are funny, with their trunks and big floppy ears.

Blame Hollywood for that. They've shown a biased view of God and what He wants of us, or what we are supposed to think of Him.
Of course they've created a lot of myths about the devil as well as persuading our social mores.

Humor requires that someone be surprised.

Is God omniscient? If so, he cannot be surprised.

Therefore, either God has humor or he doesn't know everything.

Your choice. You invent the God you want to believe in.
