Let's say you died and went to a place of torment for lack of belief on your part, would you blame others for not warning you? Or, would you take responsibility for your own actions?

Stewart T, God doesn't need. We are washed by the Blood of Christ Jesus of our sins when we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour.

Semper,
It is a wonderful experience to have faith and believe in God and the story of his son Jesus Christ. But the main message from Christ is not the one about hell, although he mentions it.
The most important message is the one about love. Loving your neighbor as yourself and loving God above all. In this modern day and age the concept of Hell is really primitive and will only turn people away from Gods message.
Back in biblical times people were easy to scare, and fear is and was a great motivator for change. But times have changed and the concept of hell has become more absurd and evil than what even the worst sinners are capable of doing.
God Bless
And remember Love is the antidote for fear and suffering.

We live in a nation where there is a bible in almost every home, a church on almost every corner, and bible believing people all around. If you died without a loving, heart felt relationship with Jesus then you have no one to blame but yourself...I've been called closed minded by many people who think that Jesus is just a myth..they say I won't allow myself to even consider writings or theory's from those they feel are "enlightened"...I say that THEY are the closed minded ones...they are just repeating things I said for the first 42 yrs of my life...THEY are the ones who are closed minded..they refuse to read the bible, or any writings supporting the bible..I DID consider that MAYBE the bible had something I needed..I started reading it, and I thank God every day that I did...He is calling everyone to come to Him...everyone deep down has felt this...if you haven't gotten to know the God of love...who loves you with a love that is greater then any humans imagination can conceive..its time to allow yourself to open up to Him...He is knocking...its up to you to answer....

I believe that the opposite of eternal life will be eternal death because the person hasn't been born again of the spirit.
Make sense? The word death means eternal separation
(because God isn't giving the gift of life the soul will no longer live)
It's the only thing that makes sense. An all holy God wouldn't create something to punish it eternally for being "like an ant"
as the bible states.
Yes I'd have to take responsibility if I'd been taught because every man will bow and KNOW that God is God. If I'd never heard God's mercy would cover me somehow.

What precisely do you advise by unnatural? Are you speaking of homicide and/or suicide? perchance mercy killing (while somebody is in such soreness that they ask a chum or well being care expert to purely enable them to die)? As for philosophy there are various theories approximately loss of existence. unlike somebody else published "in philosophy it rather is the will of god" whoever wrote that perchance does not understand what philosophy is. it is extra of a spiritual view of loss of existence. besides many philosophers have written in great element approximately loss of existence. as an occasion, Heidegger observed loss of existence via fact the of completion of existence. think of of it like a action picture. a action picture has a commencing up and end. existence is the comparable. And loss of existence is the of completion of someone's existence. If somebody the place to no longer die then they are going to possibly under no circumstances be finished, in accordance to three philosophical theories. I advise examining some philosophy from the french and germans between the seventeenth and twentieth centuries. some that manage the subject rely of loss of existence in specific are Heidegger, Sartre, Camus, Nietzsche and a great style of of their contemporaries. 2 books i might advise in specific are Being and Time by Martin Heidegger and Being and Nothingness by Sartre. the former is very a could desire to examine for somebody who's fascinated in the subject rely of loss of existence.

Let's see now. I do not believe in a hell, and therefore I do not believe that when I pass over, that there is a place of "torment", I do not, and would never blame others for my choices and do now, take responsibility for my own actions.
We all have choices, and we make them good and bad. NO those are not the correct words, POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE.
In making our own choices, and therefore receiving the consequences, how can one blame another for anything.
Should not all of us take responsibility for our own actions? I have no fear at all of passing over, for I believe when we leave our body behind, the essence of who we are, our spirit continues on and I for one, am looking forward to that.
Aren't you?
A very happy Christmas to one and all.

No one wants to take responsibility for their own actions anymore. It is always the parents fault,or the teachers fault or society,s fault. Well if a person dies without God when they stand before him that will be one time that they will have to admit their own faults. God has and is giving everyone every chance to do something about their sin condition. He has provided a remedy for what ails them and the remedy is absolutely free. If a person refuses to take the medicine and they prefer to remain sin sick then it will be nobodies fault but their own.

Well, being that we have the choice to live right and just,or live for the here and now, I would have to say I would need to accept my own fate. It would be no different if your doctor stated "Stop drinking or in 3mos. you will die". All about the choices, my friend.

One prominent doctor related a "near death" experience (Return from Tomorrow) in which the Lord interviewed him. He asked " How was I to know? And the simple answer was "I was your perfect example". Every law broken has a punishment affixed. Play with matches and you get burned. The Lord is not a punisher, He is a warner.

I DO take responsibility for my actions and I am willing to face my deities at the end of my life and they don't demand that I convert others to our religion. They'd laugh at that.

Whatever punishment is waiting for me, I probably deserve it . In the interim, I suppose I will just continue doing all those exceptionally wicked things that I do... but that's just me.
Have a Merry Christmas, Semper and thanks for all the entertainment you have provided for me through thick and thin this year.
