I was wondering if EPI PENS were permitted in carry-on bags on an airplane. I have an extreme reaction to many foods and fabrics, etc. In case of an emergency I feel I really need it, I don't want to go ten days without it. We don't check bags and are flying jet blue. (Leaving tomorrow-so answer please!)

=] Thanks in advance!

i think they are allowed, since it is for medical reasons. I think you should phone the airport to make sure though.

While many, many objects are not allowed on airplanes, there are a few allowed items. Your EPI Pen without a dr.s perscription would probably not be allowed. Make sure you have a perscription, Letter from the Dr. on his letterhead stationary, and a safe place to carry these. You might even have to park them with a flight attendant. Call the airline that yhou are flying with BEFORE you depart to get their info on this. Ya might want to do this when you get your ticket. They might be able to mark your ticket about this.
