Difficults are Revelation, Daniel, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Isaiah. And you can't ignore Leviticus and Deuteronomy for difficult.
Enjoyable the Psalms and the First, Second and Third Epistle of John.
Have you noticed how you can spend years in each book? And you can read them over and over and over again and still get new information.
What an amazing Lord we serve!

I found the book of Numbers most difficult, but it was almost a tie with Job. They did lots of geneologies in Numbers and thats why it is called numbers....it bored me silly some times.
It is even more difficult to pick a favorite. Over time, God has spoken through many of the books and they are all favorites. But for now I am going to pick the New Testament book of Acts. I love hearing about the beginnings of Christianity. It is all so interesting to me.
My close runner ups for favorites are Isaiah (he is a marvelous writer and says things so well), The book of Esther was a good story to read and a woman was the lead character. Psalms is such a wonderful read, it has comforted, encouraged, given wisdom, warned of danger and it is beautifully written as well. I've read it more than all the others.
The whole bible is impressive and does so much to teach and aid me. It is amazing.

Before I was saved I tried on several occasions to read the Bible but I kept getting bogged down in the Begats,It seemed that I just could not get past them. And then after I surrendered my life to the Lord it was just like someone had turned a light switch on and I began to see and understand what the Bible was saying. I know that is not what you asked but I just felt like saying it.
To answer your question; Probably the most difficult book of the Bible is Deutorotomy and the book of the Bible that I enjoy the most other than the 4 Gospels I believe would be the book of Hebrews. Let me say this one more time! All of the books of the Bible have the same author. His name is God.

My most difficult book in the old testament to read as a child was Daniel. Now it is Job because my heart could not handle the truth. (The word speaks to seek the truth is to know it)
My most difficult book in the new testament was Revelations. As a child, the book scared the hell out of me. To this day, it still is because a lose of virtue has not deterred my fear of God.
Easily the most enjoyable in the old testament growing up was Proverbs. It gave my a set of laws to live by because my Father in Heaven demanded excellence from me. As a man, the book of Jeremiah, because God redeemed my soul from damnation with that one.
I now have no favorite new testament passage because life demands so much. I love them all with a great passion, and nothing shall take me away from my Word.

1 - Difficult: Numbers (I get so BOGGED DOWN in all of its "by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names...", & "And they departed from... and encamped in..." etc.) I know its got a purpose there though. And there are some "gold nuggets" embedded in there too.
2 - Enjoyable: WOW, that IS a hard one! Psalms is SO good for so MANY different situations (the highs AND the lows)! and Psalm 1, 19 & 119 lift up This MAGNIFICENT Word of our Living God! "...for thy law is my delight." (119:77); Revelations is the only book in the Bible that pronounces a BLESSING on those who read it, and hear it (1:3)! Mark is like an action-packed, fast-paced novel, detailing the DEEDS and WORKS of Christ! and I love the "SHALLS" at the end "And these signs SHALL follow them that believe..." (16:17); John asserts the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, who calls us no longer servants, but FRIENDS! (15:15) exhorting us to ASK what we will! (15:7); WHATSOEVER ye shall ask in my name, that will I do! (14:13). It seemed He was trying to drill it into his disciples heads (AND ours!) to just BELIEVE and ASK! Isaiah is like a miniature Bible in itself! so FULL of fulfilled prophecy! and the UNFULFILLED prophecy is very exciting as well! The "HEART of the Bible" is in Isaiah (ch 52:13-53:12), painting a HEART-STIRRING picture of Christ's Passion. It was by THOSE STRIPES (53:5) that I and my family have been healed so many times! Grandmama always told me that if I ever had a choice of only ONE book of the Bible to keep, choose Isaiah! so I'll pick Isaiah :-)

Revelation is the most difficult to read and to understand. You have to be well prayed up to understand it.
John is the easiest to understand.
If you read the New Testament first then go back and read the Old, you will understand the Bible better and see the prophecy that came true in the New.
Best wishes and Merry CHRISTmas!!
