The most important aspect of selling any product is to learn not to sell. Learn to listen. Most people now days are 'sales resistant', meaning they hate being sold to. Successful selling in these days and times requires that you offer your client or customer things that THEY need that will help them. Otherwise, you end up being classified as a 'pushy' or 'slimy' sales person.

I think David Baron (By David Barron www.power-persuasion.com and www.changework.com)sums it best: "The Lesson is know at least a bit more than your audience, and Use VAK :Visual,Auditory and Kinesthetic language as you can you capture people imagination. Don't just paint the picture, add in a sound track and textures."

Identify the product's competitive advantage. What does it do? What problem does it solve? Why should someone buy it? Why this product and not a competitor's product? Who should buy it? (who is the 'target audience'?)
